Blogs

I will have all of your blogs graded by the end of the week. I am very pleased at the quality and effort that most of your are putting toward your blogs! It shows! I have enjoyed reading them. This is a project that will continue for the rest of the year so some of you will still need to get “caught up” with the requirements of this project. Other are ready to start customizing their blogs. Remember you can include any content on your blogs that is Spanish related. Here are some fun features you can play with if you’d like:

1. First step is to download this edublogs-tutorial  to see how to add pictures, videos, powerpoints, voice recordings, etc. to your blog.

2. After you know how to add media to your blog you can explore some of these sites for fun things you can add to posts or to your side bar.

***If you do not have or do not want to use your personal email to sign up for any of these sites please see me and I will give you an email to use.****

  • Create and add a powerpoint to your blog or embed one of mine: First upload your powerpoimt to www.slideshare.net then embed the powerpoint into a blog post.
  • Add a “Spanish word of the day” box to your sidebar from http://www.transparent.com/wotd/today/spanish.htm
  • Add interacitive quizzes with MyStudiyo.com
  • Add a fun Spanish word collage with wordle.net
  • Add Funny Spanish videos like “First Semester of Spanish Love song” or “Conjugations Back” from Teachertube (use the “embed without search engine” option) or edublogs.tv (Youtube will not work at school nor do I recommend you use it) or feature cultural videos like this:

Weekly Preview Sept. 8-12

September 7th, 2008 · No Comments

 Hola,

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. We have a lot going on this week in Spanish. Make sure you remember to bring in a picture to introduce to the class tomorrow (Monday). You also need to print or copy from your textbook “vocabulario 1″ for Chapter 1. Make sure you bring in your workbook pages for Chapter 1 (both workbooks) everyday.

You should start looking at the objectives that you wrote down in class on Friday and begin thinking about how you are going to demonstrate that you know and can do them. BE CREATIVE!! You may work by yourself or with a small group (no more than 3) and you will let me know what your plan is by the end of the week. We will talk more about it this week.

Here is your blog “quiz” – in class you will describe the following video… : ) click the link to access the video Fridays and Mondays
If the video won’t load, then you will just need to tell me the name of the video.

Hasta luego
