April 13, 2009 · No Comments

Welcome back from Spring Break! Hope you are all ready to finish the year on a positive note. Monday and Tuesday (4/13 and 14) we will be in the computer lab finishing your country projects. Your individual projects should be completed and you will be working on your group poster and adding your posters to your wiki page and blogs.

For your group glog poster EACH person will contribute a picture and summary text box for EACH topic they researched and add them to a group glog poster.

To add your personal page to the wiki please follow these instructions:
1. Go to your country wiki page and click ‘new page’
2. Title the page according to your subtopic (Ex. Chilefood) Don’t use spaces or special characters
3. Type your first name and last initial on the new page and click ’save’
4. Go back to your country page and make a link to your personal page by clicking the ‘edit this page’ button and completing the following directions:
5. Write your topic and first name and last initial
6. Hightlight the information you want to link
7. Click on the insert link button (it looks like a chain)
8. Click on “Choose an existing page”
9. Find your page and select it
10. Save your wiki page

When you are finished with these steps, go back to your personal wiki page and insert your glogster poster on your page along with any other resources and links.

1. Go to your glogster poster and find and copy the “embed’ code
2. Go to your personal wiki page and click on ‘edit’
3. Click on the TV icon and scroll to the bottom where it says “other html”
4. paste code into box and click save
5. Make sure you save your entry and make sure your glogster poster shows up

Lastly, embed your project in your BLOG also. Make a new page (instead of a new post) and copy the code into the page in the ‘HTML’ tab just like you embedded your voki.

Project graphic organizer, adjectives chart and Extra credit

March 16, 2009 · No Comments

Here is the project graphic organizer for you to print and complete. Remember the main topic is your topic are and the subtopics are questions you want to start trying to answer. The is meant to guide your research and then you will further narrow down your topic.

Here is the adjectives chart you can copy or print to add your new vocabulary to.

I am also including a few sample questions from the famous family relations sheet we did in class so you can use it as a guide for your extra credit questions. Remember use ’se llama’ for one person and ’se llaman’ for more than one. Also, “quien es” for 1 person and “quienes son” for more than one person.

¿Cómo se llama la hermana de Bart Simpson?

¿Cómo se llaman las hermanas de Marge Simpson?

¿Quién es la madre de Stewie?

¿Quiénes son las padres de Harry Potter?

Hasta luego!
